Yesterday I had a question about my instagram picture. I put up some new highlights that I was adding to my work kit. I thought I’d let you know about the different textures and what they do.

From left to right Nars – Copacabana, Nars – Orgasm, MAC – Natural radiance, Benefit – Bathina

I use highlights differently depending on the light setting, if it is still photos, video or TV. I work with a variety of techniques and textures and adapt them to which ever job I am working on at the time. But having said that here are a few basic notes of how I would use these:
For a dewy skin on the face:
I use MAC natural radiance as a primer. If I want extra highlights I would use Nars Copacabana or Orgasm depending on if I want a warm tone or a cooler tone. I also love strobe from MAC for this (not in picture as it is always in my kit).
For the body:
Bathina is a great one to give the body a hydrated, moist dewy look with out loads of shimmer. Again to bring out strong highlights I would add a little Nars.
